You are a wonder…

The Dequenesh Community Health Clinic uses a wellness model draws upon the best of conventional medicine, complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) emphasizing healing and prevention rather than disease. CAM is a category of medicine that uses a multi-disciplinary approach to medicine. It is designed to provide the maximum therapeutic benefit by accessing the shared knowledge of a variety of allopathic and alternative practitioners. One of the core principles in CAM is to address the body, mind and spirit of the patient and treating the source of the illness instead of the symptoms. The Dequenesh Community  Health Clinic provides primary care, well-woman care and basic urgent care services to uninsured, under-insured and the working poor.

Our two-room clinic is Comfortable and Contemporary, Our staff Knowledgeable and Genuine, Our service Prompt and Professional, Our cost Affordable and no one is ever denied services for inability to pay!

On January 2, 2006 we began a collaboration with Clinica Amistad y Salud, Pima County Natural Resources and the City of South Tucson providing acute and chronic disease management, screenings, preventative services, physical examinations and immunizations in South Tucson.

More recently our community partner has been the Primavera Foundation. In April 2007 we were invited to join them at Casa Paloma, a.k.a. “the Pink House.” The Pink House is open to un-accompanied women for bathing, laundry, food and refuge. Simply put the Pink House provides refuge for homeless women and the mobile clinic provides access to a continuum of services: primary healthcare, TB skin tests, Reikei and Shiatsu massage as well as herbal remedies.

For the past three years, we have partnered with the Pueblo High School women’s cross country team providing free sports physicals, health education, and fitness consultation.
